A North Carolina native, Dorothy grew up in Lumberton and has called the state her home ever since. In 2005, she earned her Bachelors in Science in Managerial Economics and Finance from Fayetteville State University, taking with her a plethora of knowledge and enthusiasm for working in all things business.
In addition to operating her own home-based business for the last 10 years, she also has gained extensive experience in finance, sales, and underwriting through her involvement in various industries. Early in her career, she added the title “Rookie of the Year”ť for the Southeast Region to her already impressive resume, before continuing on to become an Assistant Branch Manager of American General Finance and eventually joining OVM Financial.
While she was initially drawn to the mortgage industry for the divergence of her favorite qualities of the business, what keeps her coming back is the ability to help people. Building relationships, helping others realize their dreams of homeownership, and the never-ending opportunities for growth and success are just a few of the things that make the industry a perfect fit for her lifelong career. When away from the office, Dorothy loves traveling, raising her 3 beautiful daughters, and spending time with her family.
